TONE FOR DAYS! THIS BENSON POD GO PATCH IS BASED ON MY BENSON CHIMERA 2X12 COMBO AND FEATURES A NEW TONE-MATCHED IR, WHICH INTEGRATES AN AMP MODEL IN THE POD GO WITH THE REAL LIFE AMP DURING THE IR CAPTURE PROCESS FOR GREATER ACCURACY AND TRANSLATION OF THE CHIMERA TO THE LINE 6 HX ECOSYSTEM.

This new Pod Go patch is based on one of the greatest 30-watt amps on the market today - the Benson Chimera 2x12 combo! From glassy cleans to the sweetest drive tones you have ever heard, the Chimera can do it all! This particular amp was made for me by Benson and features the early 70's marshall-style checker grill cloth that I love the look and sound of. I love touring and recording with this amp. This patch is full of great effects and can be operated in stompbox or snapshot mode. It contains some of the best tones I have ever gotten out of the Pod Go - you won't be disappointed!
TONE-MATCHED IMPULSE RESPONSES INCLUDED
This preset features new tone-matched IRs that integrate an existing amp model in the Pod Go with the real-life Benson during the IR capture process, which results in greater accuracy and translation of the amp to the Line 6 ecosystem. Please see the Instructions tab for how to import and load IRs into the preset. This preset includes 4 tone-matched IRs for a small variety of excellent tonal options. Try them all to see which you prefer the tone and dynamics of. The included IRs were captured with the following hardware:

- Shure™ SM57 & 1176D Studio Compressor
- Shure™ 545SD & 1176D Studio Compressor
PATCHES INCLUDED
Each patch utilizes the same compressor, overdrives, amp, and IR - but offers different delay/reverb/pitch/modulation effects. The POD GO is limited to two (2) time-based/modulation effects per preset, so I decided to include multiple presets with various combinations of effects in these two slots that are based on sounds from the full Benson Helix patch, giving you lots of options! The included presets in this download are:

This patch can be used in either mono or stereo (recommended).
PICKUPS & GUITAR
These patches were dialed in to work well with most guitars and pickups and were tested with my Veritas Portlanders with humbuckers, Strat and Texas Miracle (tele) with single coils, and my Gretsch While Falcon with filtertrons. Feel free to save a copy of the preset and experiment with the EQ block, or any other elements of the patch to tune it as you please.
