MIC POSITIONS
USED IN IR CAPTURES
Each speaker was captured using a solid-state power amp for the purest capture of the speaker with 6 different microphones in 8 different positions each, for a total of 48 different IRs per speaker [not including multi-mic'd or mixed speaker IRs]. Those positions are:
- Center of cap [1]
- Edge of cap/cone [2]
- Middle of cone [3]
- Edge of cone [4]
Positions 1 2 3 and 4 were captured in two distances: closed mic'd up against the grill cloth of the cab and 4 inches back from the grill cloth, totaling 8 positions per microphone.
The IRs have been phase-aligned and can be mixed/combined in capable hardware/software for virtually endless mic & speaker combinations.
MIC BLENDS
Aside from the included Single Mic IRs, each speaker pack also includes 42 of my favorite multi-mic blends for a grand total of 90 single mic and multi-mic IRs per speaker.
