'56 TWEED PRO - POD GO

This XR IR-powered preset is based on our '56 Tweed Pro loaded with a C15N speaker.  It offers extremely accurate tones when compared to the real-life amp and it is programmed as a plug-and-play rig that is loaded with dialed-in drives, modulation effects, delays, reverbs, and more.

 

The 1956 5E5-B Tweed Pro 1x15 amp with a Jensen C15N speaker is a standout from Fender’s golden tweed era, known for its bold, dynamic tone, smooth breakup, and wide frequency range. The 5E5-B circuit, refined from earlier Pro designs, delivers tighter bass and more headroom. Meanwhile, the big C15N speaker adds punchy lows and shimmering highs — a dream for blues, country, and early rock players. Initially introduced in 1946 as Fender’s first “Professional” amp, the Pro evolved through several circuit updates before hitting its sweet spot in the mid-’50s. By 1956, it had become a go-to for working musicians, pairing rugged build and striking tweed looks with the powerful, harmonically rich sound that still captivates vintage amp lovers today.
