This XR Quad/Nano Cortex pack was captured from our 90's Vox AC30 6TB 2x12 with 6402-cone G12M Greenback speakers. This amp is David's AC30 that he has toured and recorded with for years, often pairing in stereo with his Prosonic. It has a very clear and balanced tone, controlled top end, and tight low end. It has a very forward midrange that makes it easy to hear in a big band and cuts in the mix. This pack offers extremely accurate tones when compared to the real-life amp. We captured the entire gain range of this amp at all of the key points where it’s breakup, drive, and compression characteristics shift. The level of breakup/gain is represented by the number in the capture name: Clean (1), Edge of Breakup (2), Breakup (3), Driven (4), Driven + (5), Driven ++ (6).
